This high speed plastic welding tip allows the welder to weld plastic with one hand. The top of the plastic welding tip holds and heats plastic welding rods, while the bottom of the plastic welding tip heats the plastic surface that you are welding or fabricating. Both the plastic welding rod and the plastic part(s) being fabricated need to be at the same temperature for successful thermoplastic fabrication and welding. Both the fabricated plastic part and the plastic welding rod need to be in a soft, pliable state (not 'runny') for successful thermoplastic welds and fabrication.
